First Spring CSA distribution this week!

Hooray!  We made it!  Barely... with all the warm weather, our stockpiled greens bolted like mad!  As a result, our share this week includes a lot of happy flowerettes- still very tender and lovely to eat raw, but we also posted two recipe suggestions for using them in a rapini-like manner.  See our Recipe page.

We really appreciated the share we received yesterday. My vegetarian daughter is home for winter break and it was great to be able to whip up a fresh salad with lentil sprouts, and broccoli rabe sauteed in olive oil with garlic scapes (preserved from last year) and maple crusted pecans. A grilled cheese sourdough English muffin (homemade cheese and muffin) added some extra protein, and a bit of Cayuga Lake Creamery ice cream with a hazelnut meringue (whites from our own eggs) made for a sweet ending. Thanks!
